Producing products using recycled materials also uses less energy than using raw materials.

Additionally, sending your waste to landfill produces methane, a greenhouse gas, which contributes to global warming. So by recycling more and reducing the need for landfill you are also helping to tackle global warming!

Most everyday products such as cardboard boxes, drinks cans and shampoo bottles can be recycled into other products. In fact, it is estimated that 60 percent of what you throw away could be recycled.
